Simpson Prize 2009The History Teachers’ Association of Australia (HTAA), together with HTAA State affiliates, conduct this competition for year 9 and 10 students on behalf of the Australian Government. The topic for the 2009 Simpson Prize is World War I had a devastating effect on Australian society. Why should we commemorate our participation in this conflict?

Two teachers Ms Carmel Harman from Caboolture State High School in Queensland and Mr Robert Lee from Palmerston High School in the Northern Territory have been selected to accompany the student winners.
