Objectives

The objectives for which ASEAQ is established are:

(a) to work for the bettering of education in Queensland;
(b) to work for the professional development and welfare of members;
(c) to promote the position of members as one of responsibility and significance in education;
(d) to provide guidance and support for members in their roles in schools;
(e) to co-operate with other professional educational and management organisations;
(f) to provide a forum for discussion of matters of professional interest to members.

These would include:-

(i) the philosophies underlying education in general and special education in particular;
(ii) current trends in education;
(iii) the needs of all students with special needs;
(iv) the professional development and welfare of the teaching profession;
(v) community involvement.
