The ASLA (ACT) website complies with the requirements for Commonwealth and ACT Government websites namely the Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy Commissioner's Guidelines for Federal and ACT Government World Wide Web portals.
Privacy Act
The Privacy Act 1988 (C'th) gives rights to individuals in relation to how personal information is handled by the Commonwealth and ACT government agencies. ACT government agencies must comply with the 11 Information Privacy Principles set out at section 14 of the Privacy Act.
 
"Personal information" means any information from which your identity is apparent or can be reasonably ascertained.
 
We will not use your details for any other purpose, and will not disclose them to other persons or organisations without your consent or unless required or authorised to under the Privacy Act.
