Integrated Use of Information and Communication Technologies in all Learning Areas

In order to assist schools in meeting 2001 system requirement for professional development, ASLA (ACT) (Australian School Libraries Association, A.C.T.) invites schools to consider the following programs:
  • Using the Information Access Kit
  • Complying with Copyright Conventions
  • Bibliographic Citing
  • Using the Outline Feature in Word to Brainstorm
  • Library Web Pages
  • Web Page Design
  • Building an Internet Search Strategy
  • Simple and Complex Webquests
  • Internet and Plagiarism
  • Evaluating Web Sites
  • Assessment Strategies which include ICT Competencies
  • Finding Outline Assignments
These programs will be delivered by members of ASLA and are available for whole of school, or small group, staff PD opportunities. The association will also be offering these programs outside of school hours. Projects currently being coordinated by ASLA ACT members.
