Presidents
Report June 2004
Welcome to all new members and thank you to all the interim
PEC Board members. The Primary Executive Council has undergone
massive changes in membership, especially at the Board level
with most of the Board receiving promotion to Principal level.
It has been a very busy time keeping our head above water over
the past six months.
For
those APs and DPs receiving this newsletter for the first time,
may I introduce you to the hard work that goes on behind the
scenes to represent you.
The
Primary Executive Council participates in many areas and is
often asked for feedback on Primary and leadership issues. Please
read the following reports for an update on our activities.
We
will be holding a forum for primary executive in Term 2. If
you are able to come, it will certainly open your eyes about
the massive changes occurring in education at present.
I
commend your participation in the Association to make it the
best it can be. If you would like to receive further newsletters,
please complete the accompanying membership form, or download
one from our website.

Membership
The Primary Executive Council of NSW has the potential to be
the largest professional teachers' association in New South
Wales. As such it would be in a position to have a significant
impact on the future directions of education.
Encourage your executive colleagues to join and contribute to
the profession. Please pass on the attached membership form
so that we can grow as an association and be more effective
in our role as decision makers within the educational arena.
