The Anna Kohler Memorial Fund

The Anna Kohler Memorial Fund has been established to celebrate the life of Anna Kohler, a much-loved leader in the field of TESOL in Queensland and Australia, and a life member of QATESOL. Anna died in 1997.

The aim of the Memorial Fund is to enhance the professional development program within QATESOL in a way that will capture the spirit of what Anna Kohler devoted much of her life to: fostering the TESOL profession; enhancing the professionalism of teachers; mentoring teachers. providing opportunities for those with potential but with few chances to realise this potential; encouraging those embarking on new or different TESOL related ventures, and fostering activities displaying lateral thinking in fields outside TESOL but which could benefit TESOL

Memorial Fund support for professional development within QATESOL may involve:

funding presentations by visiting speakers outstanding in the field of TESOL;
contributing towards funding research or special projects;
providing financial support for materials development;
funding delegates to relevant local, national and international conferences
