For detailed information about BreezeUA visit - http://www.heatleyss.qld.edu.au/breezeua.htm or read below for overview.
BreezeUA was developed with overworked, under-trained, stressed out computer coordinators in mind! The intention in creating BreezeUA was to make our jobs as computer coordinators as easy and efficient as possible, allowing us to get on with our real job of teaching children!
It is designed for an NT4 Server on the curriculum side. The BreezeUA package includes a selection of tools which can be used independently or as a complete package. It can be tailored to suit your current server structure. It provides tools for bulk creation, deletion, password updating, etc of user accounts (eg 600 user accounts created and ready to use in 15 minutes once student/staff names are taken from the SIMS database!!!). It makes provision for group policies and profiles and enables automatic Vet Master installation/ updates from server to workstations (no more running around with disks).
Earlier versions of BreezeUA are successfully used at 4 Townsville primary/special schools. The latest version is undergoing trials now and will be available for the conference. Best of all... IT'S FREE TO SCHOOLS!!!!
This session will be particularly useful for primary schools looking for some advice on how to set up their curriculum servers. However, it may be of use to anyone administering an NT4 Server. It would be useful if participants are at least familiar with the following terminology - batch files, log-on scripts & text files.
