| Provisional Program | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Attendance at this conference offers participants the opportunity to combine high calibre professional development with holiday, social and family opportunities in beautiful North Queensland. A Provisional Program is presented below. Delegates will be able to participate in Pre-Conference workshops and Industry Visits in the city. Jenny Galligan of Education Queensland (Project Officer for the Virtual Schooling Project) will be Thursday's Keynote Speaker. Following the Keynote Address each day, participants may choose from a number of concurrent sessions that include hands-on workshops, demonstrations, lecture-style presentations and panel discussions. “Snapshots from the Classroom” will offer delegates short but practical opportunities to appreciate what teachers are achieving in their classrooms. Trade Displays will provide participants with chances to see what is new and innovative. Reef HQ is one of the most popular places to visit in Townsville and we are proud to offer a Registration and Welcome Cocktail Party from 5.30 - 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 20th September at Reef HQ. Of course, no Conference would be complete without a Conference Dinner and this year's dinner will be held at the tropical Mercure Inn right on the Lakes, once again close to the City Heart. Our organising committee recommend this Conference to you and encourage you to register early to avail yourselves of the discounted Early Registration costs. As always, registration discounts are also available for QSITE Members and Presenters. We look forward to meeting you in September in beautiful Townsville for this exciting professional development opportunity.
